Scaling influencer campaigns in Japan while building client trust

Seoul-based marketing and trading company Brands Republic helps Korean cosmetic brands expand overseas, with 80% of its focus on the Japan market. Most of its campaigns rely on large-scale influencer seeding, typically involving 300 to 600 influencers per campaign.

Despite strong demand for Korean beauty brands in Japan, the market is difficult to penetrate and requires deep local knowledge, particularly when running influencer campaigns. Discovering and identifying the right influencers was time-consuming and highly manual, relying on Instagram searches, direct outreach, and collecting data individually from creators.
