Just back from an incredible trip to Guangzhou, filled with delicious food and exciting activities! But the highlight was visiting my grandpa-in-law’s 故居, where I learned so much about his remarkable story. From the Hang Seng Bank, the conceiving and implementing of the Hang Seng Index to founding 大昌行, and being part of 新世界發展, his legacy is truly inspiring. His philanthropic efforts, including contributions to schools and hospitals, have made a lasting impact on society. I’m proud to see Ho’s family continue this legacy, giving back to the community year after year until now. Despite the challenges posed by tariffs, I recently saw news that DHgate has become the second most downloaded app in the US, a remarkable achievement amid the trade tensions. Over the years, I have learned so much from Diane Wang, the founder of DHgate, and have been truly inspired by her career journey—from creating Amazon China to building DHgate into a global platform. Diane’s dedication extends beyond business; she devotes herself to philanthropy, empowering women to overcome obstacles.
